21st Century Programming is looking for highly skilled and motivated expert, senior programmer analysts with an understanding of a wide range of business environments. We have a very unique, hot-selling software system and need programmers to keep up with customer demand. A plus is experience in ñ Point of Sale Software, Accounting Software or Overall Accounting knowledge.
Qualifications should include ability to write concise, structured, bug free code, and an ability to work without constant supervision in an environment that values self-starters and self-managed creative people. You must be someone can follow projects from initial specification creation through testing, documentation and implementation; a programmer with critical thinking skills that make it possible for you to look at an error report and quickly analyze and solve problems. The position requires good common sense and an ability to be analytical, but realistic. We are seeking people who are able to focus on the big picture!
Your experience must include several successful years of programming and an ability to pick up on complex, integrated systems quickly. You should have worked with other programmers, have excellent social skills, and work well in a team development environment. This should include the ability to read otherís code and do fine-tuning. You need to have excellent communication skills, both internally with your co-workers / supervisors and externally with customers.
You should have more then 4 years of experience in, and be able to pass a very difficult test on the following technologies - Visual Basic 6, MS SQL 2000 (Stored Procedures, extremely complex Views & Triggers), Crystal Reports 10, ADO, Serial Port Communications, OCXís (both 3rd party and in-house custom created ones), Active X DLLís. The position includes developing new modules for our system, modifications to existing modules and troubleshooting the existing system.
You will be required to provide Code and Documentation Samples and be able to pass a background check.
